BookFinder.com helps users to search for books from a large number of online booksellers and marketplaces, including IberLibro.com, a major marketplace for books in Spain, and hundreds of independent online booksellers from Latin America. Americana Exchange, BookFinder Issues List of the 100 Most Sought After Books (Novembre 1, 2010)

However, that does not mean the BookFinder list consists of the most popular titles or the most valuable. They are something in between. The most popular, more recent books don't make the list as they are not hard to locate. No one needs to search for them. The highly expensive, collectible books don't make the cut either as few people are looking for these. What we find are books that are both popular and difficult to locate.

The Oregonian, Blast from the Past (Octobre 25, 2010)

This surely was not the kind of reaction Borg hoped his life story would provoke. It seems Bjorn Borg, One Hundred Per Cent quickly found its way to the dollar bin in Sweden and perhaps never made it into English translation. (A quick search of Google and Bookfinder.com offers up no evidence of a 1990s Borg autobiography.)

Western Australia Today (Australie), Little sex with Madonna (Octobre 17, 2010)

THE bookfinder.com website has produced a list of the most sought-after out-of-print titles in the US. Top this year is Sex by Madonna, that 1992 collection of explicit-ish pics of the singer. Bookfinder reckons Madonna's book will never be republished because "she is never one to do something twice". Nor will Promise me Tomorrow by Nora Roberts, an early novel the romance writer has discouraged people from reading. But the site reckons there could be new life in Old Southern Apples and Aran Knitting

New York Times, Rare Books About New York (Octobre 17, 2010)

Many of the best nonfiction titles are out of print, and difficult to find. Once upon a time, you had to haunt out-of-print bookstores for years, and certainly there is nothing more wonderful than time spent wandering among old books. But now you can go online to sources like AbeBooks.com and BookFinder.com.

The Daily Telegraph (Royaume-Uni), Literary Life (Octobre 17, 2010)

Bookfinder.com.s annual survey of the most sought after out-of-print titles is topped, as usual, by Madonna's rude photograph book, Sex. Don Graf's Basic Building Data: 10,000 Timeless Construction Facts is in fourth place suggesting that many homeless folk are considering building their own. While the list contains a lot of nonsense, for example Fly Fishing by JR Hartley, works by literary greats also feature: it might be worth checking your bookshelves for (valuable) copies of Dennis Potter's much-coveted Ticket To Ride, Norman Mailer's Marilyn: A Biography, Arthur Koestler's The Act of Creation and CS Lewis's The Allegory of Love.

Sheppards Confidential (Royaume-Uni), Bookfinder.com's Top 100 Out of Print but Still in Demand titles (Octobre 15, 2010)

Making lists can be fascinating. Bookfinder's Top 100 Out of Print but still in demand titles for the last twelve months has produced some interesting titles. Top of the list is Madonna 'Sex' but the one result which will resonate with all our UK readers is 'Flyfishing' by J R Hartley. This fictional title first appeared in 1983 for a yellow Pages advertisement. But a decade later the title did appear in print... and now appears at number 90.

Voice of San Diego, Morning Report: A Plan to Offer a Plan (Octobre 14, 2010)

Finally, bookfinder.com is out with a list of the 100 most-requested out-of-print books. No. 33 is a familiar one to San Diegans: it's the book that inspired the movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," based on the time that author Cameron Crowe spent undercover attending classes at our very own Clairemont High School. Copies of the book are now selling for about $65. If you've got one, you should feel just like Jeff Spicoli: totally stoked.

Book Brunch (Royaume-Uni), J R Hartley in demand again (Octobre 11, 2010)

Michael Russell's spoof memoir FLY FISHING BY J R HARTLEY, commissioned in response to a celebrated Yellow Pages ad about an author's search for a copy of his own book, has itself become a sought-after item. Bookfinder.com, which tracked the 100 most sought after out-of-print books in America over the past year, has listed Fly Fishing at number 90.

Brisbane Times (Australie), Little sex with Madonna (Octobre 9, 2010)

The bookfinder.com website has produced a list of the most sought-after out-of-print titles in the US. Top this year is Sex by Madonna, that 1992 collection of explicit-ish pics of the singer. Bookfinder reckons Madonna's book will never be republished because "she is never one to do something twice". Some are collectible, others are unusual, and many are just plain useful. Bookfinder.com annually prints a list of the 100 most sought-after out-of-print books in America over the past year.

Houston Chronicle, 100 most wanted out-of-print books, and Sex (Octobre 4, 2010)

In fact, the number one book on the Bookfinder.com list -- Madonna's Sex -- is a book I remember quite well. When it arrived in the newsroom of the Philadelphia Inquirer, where I was working in 1992, EVERBODY crowded around that one lone copy to see the reigning Queen of Pop's nude pics.

You have a book in mind, but you don't know where to find it. You may know the author but not the title, or vice versa. It could be obscure or out of print. OK, how about the Wordsworth Classics edition of Thomas Hardy's "Jude the Obscure"? I entered that into the 150 million-title database at www.bookfinder.com and came up with a list of inter-national sources that sell it new (11 copies) and used (26 copies). Caution: The shipping cost is often more than the price of the book.

Hays Daily News, Gonzales commentary: A few must reeds (Janvier 17, 2010)

So once I got past that annoying Kindle ad on Amazon, I was able to confirm what I found at BookFinder.com, another favorite Web site. At BookFinder I ran across what I thought was a favorite book of mine from my high school days. All I had to go on was it was written by Ernie Pyle, a famous World War II correspondent.

Fairbanks Daily News Miner, Used book sales can be a repository for the strange and wonderful (Janvier 11, 2010)

My book-hunting site of choice is BookFinder.com, since it is so comprehensive. It searches most of the big databases, including AbeBooks, Powell's Books, Alibris, and Amazon.com. BookFinder also includes fuller descriptions of the books' conditions. Take a British children's book featured in the latest Weird Books section of AbeBooks: Angela Royston's "Why Do I Vomit?" The plaintive cover inspired recollection of my dentistry book, but I won't buy it from AbeBooks, where Royston's tome is listed from 25.48-31.65 pounds sterling. That's $40.69-$50.76, but at BookFinder it's only $4.74.
